How to Create Animated Product Posts in After Effects
Social media product posts are one of the highest-value deliverables in motion design for small brands. A static product photo gets scrolled past. An animated post—with floating ingredients, a swinging package, and typewriter text—stops the thumb instantly.
What makes this workflow so powerful is how little manual animation is required. The dry fruit elements float on their own using a single expression. The packaging swings using just three keyframes. The text reveals itself with a built-in preset. Most of the animation writes itself—you just set the rules.

All ingredient elements move in a gentle, random float—applied to every layer simultaneously using a single copy-paste expression.

We want the individual floating elements (like the dry fruits) to have their own organic life. That's where this simple expression comes in:
wiggle(3, 10)
Applied to the Position property of each dry fruit layer. The frequency is 3 (position changes 3 times per second) and the amplitude is 10 (moves up to 10 pixels). The result is a continuous, organic floating effect with zero keyframes.
